THE BEST HOLIDAYS I'VE EVER HAD
For funny reasons this summer's holidays I went to visit my aunt in Norway for a month, it was one of the most awesome experiences that I ever had, when I remember it seems unreal, because I really went to the other side of the world I must admit that was scared, but I do not have regrets, because I could see landscapes and things that I think that only I'll see on TV.
I was completely conscious that the country were my aunt live was so far enough, but I have to admit that it's not funny at all be in a plane for fourteen hours to England, then wait there for four hours and finally be in a plane for other hour to Oslo, but that was not everything, my aunt's house is in a small town near Stavanger, called Naerbo, which was six hours from Oslo by train, the only thing that I remember of that first day in Norway is that the jetlag is real and that I slept like for 12 hours.
But after recover my energy, started the time to adventure, because in our hemisphere, we were in vacations, but there they were at school or at work, so I had to explore the city alone, it was terrifying, everything was in English and everyone speak very well the language, but they, obviously, speak in Norwegian first, and I think that it is unintelligible, but overall it was not complicated to move on the city and I had the possibility of know a lot of Museums and landscapes, that really looks like the pictures that one see in the magazines.
The only week that my aunt's family had vacations we decided to visit my other uncle that live in Germany, for that we had to cross the ocean to Denmark and then in an hour we arrived in the city were live my uncle, there we just go to visit a castle, because the other days we prefer to go to other cities of Europe, so one day we go to Amsterdam and the other day to Berlin. In Amsterdam we went to Anna Frank's house, the only thing that I would say is that it is a place full of emotions and memories of suffering, the same for the Memorial of the Berlin Wall.
Finally I recognize how lucky I am, that's why I really treasure all the memories I have from there and I appreciate the opportunity that my uncles gave me, I really hope to return some day, because like everything in this world, Norway has a charm that is out of the ordinary and really the flight hours seems insignificant compared to everything I experienced.
Hey! You had a very good trip, despite the distances that can be very exhausting, facing a city alone can be a very enriching experience. I'm glad for you. I'll love to visit a coffe shop in Amsterdam and the Vincent Van Gogh museum <3
